1900 Antique Danish Faceted Natural Amber Honey Cognac Necklace/ 58cm /85gr

onderful XIX -early XX cent. Danish natural Amber strand featuring 56 faceted beads of gradual sizes that exhibit inclusions,color variations and crazing common in older amber beads.
The necklace measures 58 cm long open and stretched with the beads ranging in sizes from 32 mm x 23 mm to 10mm x 5 mm.
Later V-lock (not original to the strand) in gilt silver with hallmarks of N.E From on the back side.

Weight : 85 grams.
Overall condition is excellent with some minor chipping and other light wear consistent with age.
Central largest bead has a natural flaw /crack that runs from the the hole on one side and ends about in the middle of the piece.It's a few millimeters deep at deepest and doesn't affect stability or integrity of the thing at all.
This bead is safe to press with fingers with full strength from any angle
,there are no weak points/areas.
In fact that crack can be filled with melted amber to become completely solid and hard,but I leave it the way it is - the next owner will decide what to do about that.
