    Description

Very rare and original, 1920's Gebruder Bing Live Steam London, Midland and Scottish Railway Toy Train Engine / Locomotive.
This wonderful, Live Steam Toy Railroad Train Locomotive Engine measures approx. 6 3/4" long overall, 3 1/4" tall to the top of its stack and 2" wide. The Train would run on an O gauge track. The Engine is made of brass, iron and tin. The surface is lithographed and there are London, Midland and Scottish Railway Company decals on the sides of the cab. This Locomotive is the Bing 4429, O Gauge Engine produced for the British market..
The 0-4-0 Locomotive features original and very attractive, maroon colored surface lithography. The Engine is complete and retains its original burner.
This wonderful, Gerbruder Bing Live Steam Railroad Engine is in very good condition. The Engine is complete including its original burner. Although we have not fired up the Engine it is guaranteed to be in working order. There is no significant damage to the Locomotive, however, there are old solder repairs to the attachment of the cowling at the back end of the boiler where it attaches to the frame. The surface lithography is generally well preserved with some scattered scattered surface wear. The boiler does have some discoloration from use as can be seen in the scans below. Please see the scans below for a good representation of form and condition of this early 20th century, Gebruder Bing Live Steam Railroad Locomotive!!

    Important Notes about Shipping Charges:
The amount quoted for Shipping & Handling is calculated by eBay and is equal to the EXACT amount charged by the Post Office plus a .00 "packing fee" - the .00 fee is our only compensation for the virgin packing materials we use on all of our professionally packaged boxes as well as our cost for the salaried help that does most of our packing - as I am sure you can see, we make NO profit on the Shipping charges and, in fact, our costs are usually greater than the .00 fee. Please contact us if there are any issues regarding the cost of shipping.
