Antique Brass Copper PENDANT Chatelaine Wax Seal Signet Basket Weave Handmade

ABOUT:
Interesting antique pendant, chatelaine stamp / wax seal with 3D basket weave design and copper knot loop.  The underside is reticulated with a very ornate symbol but I am not sure what it represents.  It kind of looks like an eye in the center, or a fingerprint pattern?
When I first acquired it, it looked like it had been buried in the mud or in clay, and there were remnants of colored wax inside the intricate underside.  I cleaned it up, but seems to be a super old piece.  I wish I knew its story.  It looks like it was hand made.  Nice coloring to the antique brass, pretty patina and very interesting design.
Measures a little over an inch tall and the base is 1 1/2 inches wide.  It would make a very unique conversation piece worn as a pendant.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned with some age to them so they are in estate condition.   Still some clay like build up under magnification.  I cleaned it as best I could.  A few scuffs and scratches and some nicks / spotting from age. But it has held its shape very well for the most part as it is a nice and sturdy piece.  A beautiful patina with the antique brass and copper.  But Please note that due to age this is not in mint condition.
