Magnificent horse, very finely detailed and beautifully gilded throughout this piece with Old Imari, including the designs and colors all the way to and covering the base.  Anyone is sure to fall in love with this piece to keep or to gift for a special occasion.  Whether a horse lover, a collector or you love elegant Royal Crown Derby, this piece has it all.
The mane: forelocks (forehead) to the crest or mane on the neck, is beautiful from poll to withers and all finely detailed in gold. This Shire Horse accurately depicts their beautiful and  distinctive feathering on the lower legs and massive hooves.  The beautiful bridle, matching decorate saddle/bareback pad with old Imari, as well as hearts and diamond designs on the back.  Notice the heart on the front as well, on the neck.  The tail too is adorned.  Please see the floral designs to the base and large panels to accentuate the beauty, details and elegance of this piece.
Limited edition of 1500.  Commissioned by Sinclairs as the second in The Series of Equine Studies, with numbered back-stamp.   A unique version featuring the Prince of Wales Feathers was auctioned at Royal Crown Derby Headquarters, with proceeds going to the Prince's Trust.
